
Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Government launched today, in the city of Praia, the Single Social Registry (CSU) information and complaints management mechanism, a tool that will allow users to clarify doubts and report cases of false information.
Presided over by the Ministry of Family, Inclusion and Social Development, through the National Coordination of the Single Social Registry, the mechanism is a means of communication and information that will also allow users to have efficient channels to make complaints and request information about the operation and use of the registry.
As explained by the national coordinator of the CSU, Esmael Cardoso, users can also complain about non-compliance with registration procedures, repair any errors in the classification and report false information during registration.
“One of the objectives is to guarantee and record minor concerns and complaints from communities and institutions, analyze processes in order to detect possible deviations from the legal and institutional framework and ensure compliance and appropriate responses from each person or institution. ”, he pointed out.
On the other hand, it will allow efficient and responsible management by entities using the CSU, minimize inclusion or exclusion errors and provide channels for reporting misconduct and misuse of users’ personal data by all CSU stakeholders. register.
Esmael Cardoso said that the instrument, which will be coordinated by a central committee, also aims to repair any errors in the classification of the formalization indicator, effectively treat declarations and provide due treatment and responses.
He added that users can make complaints when they have difficulties in introducing and updating households in the CSU, about validating the socioeconomic information contained in the household’s register and also in situations of inclusion and exclusion regarding the household’s classification.
The coordinator also assured that the statements are confidential and that when making a report, the user must provide evidence.
Complaints and reports can be made through suggestion boxes available in all municipalities, the free national hotline, the online platform www.csu.cv and local and central committees.
The Single Social Registry was designed and implemented through regulatory decree no 7/2018, of September 20, as “an important instrument” to identify, register and maintain updated information on beneficiaries and channel social support.
It constitutes an “assertive and impactful measure” in the construction of an articulated social protection system that “increases the effectiveness in the provision of social benefits, especially in the most vulnerable sectors of the population”.
The event was attended by the Minister of State Modernization and Public Administration, Edna Oliveira, and the Minister of Family, Inclusion and Social Development, Fernando Elísio Freire, ambassadors and other entities.
