Africa-Press – Cape verde. The daily Dengue Bulletin shows that yesterday 234 suspected cases of the disease were detected, of which 144 were diagnosed positive. Praia continues to be the most affected municipality with 3,677 confirmed cases.

Of the 144 confirmed cases, 106 were diagnosed in the capital. The rest are located in the municipalities of São Domingos (3), Santa Catarina de Santiago (5), Tarrafal (4), Santa Cruz (8), São Filipe (7), Mosteiros (2), Santa Catarina do Fogo (1) and Maio (8).

No cases of Severe Dengue have been reported and there are no people hospitalized because of the disease.

The country currently has 7,747 reported cases, of which 4,944 have been confirmed and 2 deaths have been recorded.

Ministry of Health Recommendations

Dengue is an acute infectious febrile disease transmitted by the bite of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes.

The most common symptoms are: fever, headaches, body aches, pains behind the eyes, rash, diarrhea and vomiting.

If you experience at least one of the symptoms mentioned, you should seek medical attention for specific guidance.

To prevent the spread of this disease in communities, everyone must be very committed, at individual, community and institutional levels, with actions aimed at combating mosquitoes and reducing exposure to mosquito bites.
