Africa-Press – Cape verde. The government appointed Jorge Humberto Semedo Gonçalves Andrade as director of the National Police (PN), according to a resolution of the Council of Ministers published this Friday.
“Jorge Humberto Semedo Gonçalves Andrade, superintendent of the National Police, is hereby appointed to exercise, on a service commission, the position of director of the National Police”, says the document published in the Official Gazette.
The appointment takes effect from today.
Jorge Andrade succeeds Emanuel Moreno, who took office in 2016, with the mission of strengthening criminal investigation in the country.
