Africa-Press – Cape verde. A failure in the medium voltage power grid has left several locations in the municipality of Ribeira Grande de Santiago without electricity supply since yesterday, the Cape Verde Electricity Distribution Company (EDEC) reported today.
According to a statement from EDEC, the technical failure affected the areas of Trindade, João Varela, Santana, Belém, Tronco, Pico Leão, Mosquito da Horta, João Bom and São Martinho Pequeno, which remain without access to electricity.
The company’s technical teams are already on the ground working to locate and resolve the fault, with the aim of restoring service “as soon as possible” to the affected locations.
