Africa-Press – Cape verde. TACV landed in Mindelo today with hundreds of kilos of essential goods and non-perishable products collected by the Cape Verdean community living in Paris, destined to support the victims of the storm that hit the island of São Vicente.
According to the airline, the initiative is part of the joint solidarity effort of the Cape Verdean diaspora, which since the first days after the torrential rains of August 11th has been mobilizing support to minimize the suffering of affected families.
The company says that since the 12th, it has played an active role in the support and recovery process in São Vicente, ensuring additional flights to transport authorities, emergency technicians, and essential goods, both on domestic and international routes.
