Africa-Press – Cape verde. Drinking water is scheduled for distribution today in the areas of Salamansinha, Ribeirinha, Pedra Rolada, and Fonte Francês, in São Vicente, managed by the National Civil Protection and Fire Service.
The government, on its website, clarifies that the water comes from the island of Santo Antão, being transported with the support of several trucks and a Portuguese Navy ship.
Crisis Office spokesperson Vitória Veríssimo explains that the distribution is being organized by zone to ensure all communities receive adequate assistance.
The same source also states that Electra is already supplying some of the island’s bilges with water transported by vehicles. Furthermore, Health Centers are also receiving regular supplies.
