Africa-Press – Cape verde. The National Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics (INMG) reported this Friday that the country is under the influence of a tropical wave associated with a low-pressure center, impacting the weather for the next 48 hours.
According to INMG, light to moderate rain is expected across all islands on the 23rd, with the greatest incidence in Santiago, Fogo, and Santo Antão, where occasional thunderstorms are possible during the second half of the day.
The institute warns that drizzle may occur on the 24th in the morning, mainly in high-altitude areas.
The sea will continue to experience southerly waves measuring 1.0 to 2.5 meters in height, decreasing in coastal areas and inter-island areas.
In its weekly forecast, the institute states that no significant changes in the weather are expected from August 25th to 28th.
INMG guarantees that it will continue to monitor the weather and update it as needed.
