Africa-Press – Cape verde. Between July 14th and September 14th, CV Interilhas recorded a 35% increase in trips on the Sotavento line, making 58 additional connections compared to the initially planned operating model.

According to the company, the increased operations allowed it to meet the higher demand during the high season, especially on the islands of Maio, Fogo, and Brava, ensuring greater flexibility for local residents and accompanying local festivities.

In addition to this increase, CV Interilhas, in partnership with TACV, also guaranteed seven additional trips to Fogo, Maio, and São Nicolau, addressing the lack of air transportation and strengthening intermodal connections in the country.

For the operator, these results confirm its commitment to ensuring passenger mobility, freight transportation, and regular supply to the islands, reaffirming its role as an essential public service operator.

The company guarantees that it will continue to reinforce operations whenever necessary, aiming to ensure territorial cohesion and the quality of maritime connections in Cape Verde.
