Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Praia District Court ruled this Monday, September 15, that the 75-year-old woman suspected of murdering her 81-year-old husband in Palmarejo Grande will be released awaiting further legal proceedings.
According to the Judicial Police, the elderly Cape Verdean national was arrested on Saturday night after the body of her husband, Feliciano Gomes Martins, known as “Cigarinha,” was found dead in the couple’s residence.

Firefighters from Praia were the first to arrive at the scene, following a call for assistance, and found the man lying in a pool of blood with no vital signs.
The detainee was brought before the first judicial interrogation this Monday, September 16, and the court decided to apply the less severe coercive measure.
The investigation, led by the PJ’s Crimes Against Persons Investigation Section, is ongoing.
