Africa-Press – Cape verde. An individual arrested on Boavista Island, accused of carrying out several armed robberies on public roads, will await trial in pre-trial detention, the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) announced this Sunday, the 27th.
The same source reports that the man was arrested on September 26th by the National Police in Sal Rei, where he allegedly sowed panic among the population through repeated robberies using a homemade weapon known as a “boca bedju.”
During the month of September, eight robberies were recorded on public roads, which, according to authorities, were allegedly perpetrated by the same suspect.
The case is currently under investigation and remains confidential.
