Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Brava Health Department is holding a health fair today in the community of Cachaço, at the local health post, as part of the activities for World Diabetes Day, Inforpress revealed.
The initiative is part of the celebrations for the date, which this year is celebrated under the motto “Diabetes in different phases of life,” highlighting that the disease affects people of all age groups – children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
During the fair, the population of Cachaço will have access to various health services, focusing on prevention and early diagnosis.
Several services will be available, such as medical consultations, blood pressure checks, blood glucose tests (blood sugar), and hepatitis B tests.
The health department requests the participation of the entire community, emphasizing the importance of preventive measures and adopting a healthy lifestyle to reduce the risks associated with diabetes and other chronic diseases.
