Africa-Press – Cape verde. The municipality of Porto Novo reported this Wednesday that it currently has several work fronts underway in different locations throughout the municipality, employing dozens of heads of families.
According to Inforpress, the municipality informed that the work fronts focus on the rehabilitation of homes for families at risk, the improvement of rural roads and highways, and the recovery of water supply systems.
This refers to infrastructure damaged during Tropical Storm Erin, which occurred on August 11th, and the interventions are creating jobs and generating income, improving people’s lives.
The municipality explained that “everything that has already been done” in terms of responding to the damage caused by Tropical Storm Erin in the municipality of Porto Novo “is the result of the commitment and dedication of this municipal team.”
