Africa-Press – Cape verde. African Coders, a Cape Verdean startup dedicated to creating digital solutions to enhance African talent and connect it to the global market, was the big winner of the 10th edition of the UNITEL Go Challenge, one of the most prestigious programs to stimulate innovation and digital entrepreneurship.
The event, held this Friday (06) in Luanda, brought together entrepreneurs, strategic partners, the public and judges, in a moment of celebration of innovation, entrepreneurship and technological impact, according to a note.
“For Cape Verde, this distinction takes on a particular strategic significance. In a context of insularity and geographical dispersion, technology emerges as a fundamental vehicle for African regional integration, allowing the country to overcome physical barriers and position itself as a digital hub of talent, innovation and technological services at the service of Africa,” the aforementioned source indicated.
The competition culminated with an inspiring pitch presented by the CEO of African Coders, Elson Vaz, who focused his intervention not only on presenting the technological solution, but above all on a strategic vision of sustainable development for Africa.
Elson Vaz emphasized the urgent need to create sustainable jobs on the African continent as an essential condition for retaining talent in Africa, allowing them to serve the economic, social, and technological development of their own countries.
He also highlighted the central role of innovation in accelerating Africa’s digital transition, advocating for technological solutions that respond assertively, inclusively, and adapted to the specificities of each national context.
Inspired by the principles of contemporary Pan-Africanism, African Coders promotes a vision of African digital integration based on cooperation, knowledge sharing, and the creation of active networks between countries, talent, companies, and institutions, linking them to the global market. The initiative positions itself as a tool for connecting the global technology market with African talent.
