Africa-Press – Cape verde. The National Assembly will hold its first Ordinary Session of the month on February 11th, 12th, and 13th, with a highlight being a debate with the Minister of Investment Promotion and Business Development and Minister of State Modernization and Public Administration, Eurico Monteiro, as part of the parliamentary work scheduled for this session.
According to a statement sent to the media, the debate with the minister is the first item on the agenda and was requested by the UCID party.
In addition to the debate, the session includes a question to the Government regarding the state of public policies on family, social inclusion, and the fight against poverty in Cape Verde, as well as the usual question period for the Government.
These questions will be answered by the Minister of Health, as indicated by the PAICV Parliamentary Group.
The parliamentary agenda also includes the general discussion of two draft laws. The first bill aims to regulate the activity of seafarers aboard Cape Verdean ships, as well as the responsibilities of the State as the flag state or port state, within the framework of compliance with the mandatory provisions of the Maritime Labour Convention 2006 (MLC/2006).
The second bill refers to the first amendment to Law No. 34/VIII/2013, of July 24, which establishes the regime for the prevention and control of noise pollution, with the objective of safeguarding the rest, health, tranquility and well-being of the population.
The deputies will also proceed to record several minutes, namely those of the plenary sessions held between February and April 2023.
