Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cleiton Fonseca , 25 years old, has excelled in sports training for coaches of federated teams. With a degree in physical education and sport, he met the passion for sports training in 2021, when he found himself conditioned by the pandemic, which limited practical sport.
Since then, it has prepared didactic-pedagogical contents that are shared with monitors and sports lovers because, as it says, knowledge sharing is the “best way” for the evolution of sport in the country.
“With the pandemic, it was not possible to work in practice, so we were challenged to reinvent ourselves and start doing office work, internal training and restructuring the sports training plans in the institution where I was. Since then I felt that I should start investing in a training career, in an area that inspires me, which is sports training”, explains Cleiton Fonseca to A NAÇÃO.
Passion for Teqball
Sports lover in general, training is based on sports planning and periodization, with emphasis on futsal and football, and in the future, he intends to specialize in sports training aimed at these two modalities.
This technician has been sought after by some institutions interested in training and says he has already presented some proposals to the IDJ and FCF for training and hopes, in the future, to work with these institutions for sports training.
Cleiton is also passionate about teqball and has also played in this sport. After the first contacts with this sport, he prepared the first training of refresher training for coaches and referees for 35 physical education teachers in the city of Praia and, since then, he is also technical director and trainer at the National Teqball Federation and has traveled the country to training in the modality.
