Africa-Press – Cape verde. The 13th edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Cape Verde started yesterday and runs until the 20th of November. The initiative has a wide range of activities. The opening of the event, coordinated by the Global Entrepreneurship Week- GEW 2022 and organized by AJEC, took place this Monday, in the Main Hall of the Municipality of São Miguel.
The event aims, according to a press release, “to spread the entrepreneurial culture as a factor of innovation, to promote the network of entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs and institutions, to encourage the creation of national networks of promotion/support to companies and to provide debates on the challenges of to be an entrepreneur in Cape Verde”.
The 2022 edition of GEW is aimed at policy makers and public decision makers, young entrepreneurs, researchers and funders, universities, secondary schools and the general public.
“Removing Barriers and Welcoming All”
Under the motto “Removing barriers and welcoming everyone”, GEW 2022 has scheduled several activities, namely debates, sharing stories and experiences, job tents, business acceleration programs and female empowerment.
Of the many activities to be carried out, the Entrepreneurship Summit Weekend stands out, to be held at the University of Cape Verde and which will feature “a series of conferences, lectures and workshops with some of the biggest names in national and international entrepreneurship”, emphasizes the organization.
Different topics to address
Themes such as entrepreneurship in Cape Verde and the challenges, technology and innovation, female entrepreneurship and inclusive entrepreneurship will also be part of the range of lectures and conferences, says the organization of the event.
GEW 2022 is considered “important for the consolidation process of AJEC as a representative body of young entrepreneurs in Cape Verde”, emphasizes the organization.
