Africa-Press – Cape verde. The management of Nigeria’s Shield City FC, based in Kano State, has already confirmed its presence at the 2023 edition of the Africa Youth Cup, which will take place from 20 to 30 October in the Cape Verdean capital.
As advanced to Inforpress Maria Newman, from the organization of this international competition for training athletes, and which is in Cidade da Praia, in the continuation of preparations, those responsible for Shield City FC are looking forward to participating in the Africa Youth Cup in Cape Verde in October from 2023.
“Laura Sharpe, who is the mother of Kano State Shield City Academy, Nigeria, is very excited and can’t wait to come to Cape Verde. The American said that the academy is looking forward to the tournament that is scheduled for October. In her words (…) ‘we are all looking forward to the fantastic tournament in Cabo Verde’” reads in the letter of the organization that quotes Laura from Shield City, an NGO founded in 2021.
Laura Sharpe said that Shield City has evolved in Kano State, Nigeria, where “this talented group of young people had a desire to serve their community, as well as a shared love of football”.
