African Junior Swimming Championship: Cape Verde participates with eight athletes from swimming schools

Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cape Verde makes its debut today at the Junior African Swimming Championship in zone II with eight athletes from swimming schools in Santiago, Sal and Santo Antão Norte. The race starts today and runs until Sunday, the 20th, in Accra, Ghana.

In this African sub-regional competition, Cape Verde takes a delegation of ten elements, consisting of eight athletes, a coach and a manager.

The eight athletes belong to the swimming schools affiliated to the regional associations of Santiago, with four swimmers, Sal, with three, and Santo Antão Norte, with one swimmer.

The presence of the Cape Verdean team in this championship, according to the Cape Verdean Swimming Federation, follows the 1st Junior National Swimming Championship, which took place last June, on the island of Sal.
