
Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Ambassador of the European Union in Cabo Verde announced the preparation of a new Project to Support the Consolidation of the Rule of Law (PACED) in the PALOP and East Timor, to consolidate the “many gains” achieved with the current one.
Carla Grijó spoke during the delivery of computer equipment for collecting and recording sound in the courts of Cabo Verde, which marks the end of the activities of the first PACED in the archipelago.
“The European Union will outline a new project, in line with PACED, the consultation process has already begun and in the coming months partners in the various beneficiary countries will be called upon to contribute their ideas and vision about the future,” said the diplomat.
Also in her statements, Carla Grijó recalled that at the last ministerial meeting between the Portuguese-speaking African Countries and East Timor, which took place in Bissau in November 2021, the decision was taken to continue working in this area.
