Africa-Press – Cape verde. The President of the National Assembly (AN), Austelino Correia, highlighted the importance of Angola to consolidate itself in the new conjuncture as a motor country in Africa in several areas.
In his welcome address to the President of Angola, Austelino Correia highlighted a number of aspects, from the outset the relations, presence and integration of the Cabo Verdean community in Angola, strengthening cooperation and strategic partnership, building consensus and democratic consolidation, and then hope that Angola will take an active role in Africa in the various areas.
“The coexistence between Angolans and Cabo Verdeans has always been marked by a vibrant social fraternization, made up of understanding and integration,” said the President of the National Assembly, highlighting culture as a “point of evident trace of unity” between the two peoples.
Austelino Correia also stressed the importance of diversifying the areas of cooperation between the two governments, whether in the civil society organization, as well as at the strategic level, welcoming “tangible results” of the models and the quality of cooperation relations between Angola and Cabo Verde.
