Africa-Press – Cape verde. The 2023 edition of the Transgrancanaria trail race will take place on the 23rd and 24th of this month in the Canary Islands, an insular region of Spain. Emicela Team Cabo Verde will participate with athletes Wilson Cabral and Valter Araújo.
According to Inforpress, Wilson Cabral, an athlete from Santa Catarina de Santiago, will compete in the 24 kilometers, while Valter Araújo (Tarrafal, São Nicolau) will compete in the 45 km race.
There will also be competitions in the categories of 126 km classic, 80 km advanced, 12 km Promo/Youth, 12 km Family Trail and vertical kilometre.

According to the organization, the marathon is the most popular event with 40% of the total number of runners, with the participation of athletes from 24 nationalities already guaranteed, including Poland, Chile or Canada.
Transgrancanaria’2023 takes place from the 22nd to the 26th of February, having already reached the barrier of 500 registered participants.
