Africa-Press – Cape verde. The municipality of Porto Novo today congratulated the Porto Novo Basket club for winning the Santo Antão regional basketball championship in senior men.
In a press release, the City Council of Porto Novo saluted the team that, on Sunday, 09, won the regional basketball championship of Santo Antão, “auguring successes to the athletes, directors and the entire associative mass of the club”.
“We congratulate the Porto Novo Basket team that won the title of regional champion in men’s senior basketball on the island of Santo Antão. The team is able to represent our municipality and this island in national competitions”, underlined the municipality.
The council reaffirms the desire to maintain the partnership with the Porto Novo Basket club so that it can “continue to contribute to the massification and dynamization of basketball in this municipality”.
