Africa-Press – Cape verde. Banco Comercial do Atlântico (BCA) donated five electrocardiogram devices to the Ministry of Health on Tuesday, the 15th.
The official handover ceremony was led by the National Director of Health, Angela Gomes, and the Coordinator of the BCA Corporate Support Office, Paula Martins.
According to the BCA representative, this donation falls within the scope of the bank’s commitment to social responsibility, particularly in the healthcare sector, where it already has several interventions in a successful partnership.
“There are five electrocardiograms, and we hope they will be useful for healthcare facilities and, in particular, for the population. Our interest in the healthcare sector is long-standing, and we remain available to provide support in any way necessary.”
Paula Martins also pointed out that BCA has a systematic blood donation program and thanked the healthcare professionals who work in this country with dedication.
For the National Director of Health, Angela Gomes, with this social action, the BCA demonstrates its sensitivity to this sector, which is essential for the country’s development. On behalf of the Ministry of Health, he thanked the gesture and said that it is very important to see that national companies have a strategic vision to invest in areas such as health.

The electrocardiogram device, also called an electrocardiograph, is a medical device used to perform the electrocardiogram (ECG) exam.
This test records the heart’s electrical activity, helping diagnose various heart conditions and can help identify arrhythmias, ischemia (lack of oxygen to the heart), and other conditions.
