Boa Vista: Associations and youth groups show interest in working in partnership with IDJ

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The social, community, sports and youth groups from Boa Vista expressed, on Thursday, 05, interest in working in partnership with the Sport and Youth Institute (IDJ) in solving challenges and implementing projects.

This was one of the topics most addressed by the groups and associations during an open conversation that took place at the Center for Art and Culture (CAC) and was attended by the President of the IDJ, Frederico Mbassa, the Councilman for Youth and Sport, Abel Ramos, and the Director of Sport from the local authority, Eldon Lopes.

How working with the IDJ was one of the concerns raised during the open conversation, which was expected to be with community associations and youth groups, but topics related in most to the sports sector eventually dominated, given that associations and sports groups were present.

The President of the IDJ, Frederico Mbassa considered this approach “normal” and explained that the importance of the sports sector at youth level justified the creation of the institute with the intention to bring together the two sectors that have relevance in the lives of young people and their involvement in the community.
