Africa-Press – Cape verde. The City Hall of Boa Vista (CMBV) inaugurated Saturday, in João Galego, the North Tourist and Agricultural Center, having been initialed an agreement for the space management with the Tambra Association, a cooperative of women who produce soaps and agri-food products.
The Mayor of Boa Vista, Cláudio Mendonça, thanked all those who contributed to the implementation of the project, which he considers important, highlighting the women of the Tambra Association, and in particular, the Turtle Boa Vista Project (PTBV), for their involvement, designing and empowering the community in the development process of the island.
From the Mayor’s point of view, it is with this kind of attitude, effort, determination, selflessness that one can gradually walk the path, and achieve objectives, such as the construction and equipment of the center that, he announced, is ready to move forward.
“I am pleased with the center because it will give another dynamic to the North of the island”, he said, adding that, in view of the local program, it will be this type of enterprise the City Hall wants to carry out, decentralizing the activities of the city Sal Rei.
