Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Municipal Assembly of Boa Vista approved, this Friday, 1st, unanimously, the proposal that changes the Municipal Regulation for the Disposition of Land for Urban Purposes .
This proposal aims to promote the island’s urban development, boost the tourist real estate sector and attract national and foreign investments, to enhance local competitive power in the areas of employment and income and refocus Boa Vista’s role in Cape Verde’s development program”.
The PAICV municipal deputy, Joel Spencer, justified his group’s favorable vote because they believe that everyone has the right to equality and opportunity to access all the goods and rights contained in the constitution, which is why he found that they could not remain indifferent.
MPD’s municipal elected official, Elisabete Évora, justified her bench’s vote by saying that the MpD bench will vote in favor of everything that is good for the island, as long as everything is within the law.
The elected member of the Popular Party (PP), Sérgio Corrá, justified his vote in favor of the deliberation proposal by saying that his group does not want to harm anyone, but rather to make investments in Boa Vista easier.
The Boa Vista Municipal Assembly met for two days in an ordinary session that ended this Friday, 1st.
