Africa-Press – Cape verde. Boa Vista residents complain about the delay in replacing banknotes and criticize the “malfunctioning” of the six ATMs of the vinti4 network located in the city of Sal-Rei, which are always out of order, especially at the end of the month and week.
Boa Vista residents complain and criticize “bad” service provided at the vinti4 ATMs
Inforpress carried out a round in Sal-Rei this weekend in order to check the operation of the six automatic teller machines of the vinti4 network (ATM), which are located in the city.
This is because the people from Boa Vista who have been criticizing the service provided at the vinti4 network’s ATMs are calling for maintenance of the few devices available on the island which, according to them, are always broken, with a lack of replacement notes, especially thousand shields.
One of the interviewees, Jéssica Lopes, believes that the situation needs to change, as, as she explained, the lack of thousand escudo notes forces the withdrawal of a larger amount of money.
“This creates a lot of difficulties for us, especially on weekends we experience difficulties if the machines are broken”, he asserted, criticizing the reduced number of ATMs to serve the population who, during working hours, have to resort to queues at banks.
Another interviewee, Ivaznite Andrade, also observed that these cases are recurrent, which is why she is also of the opinion that improvements should be made by maintaining and placing more ATMs from the vinti4 network on the island of Boa Vista.
“If you are going to make a quick purchase, if there is a breakdown in the vinti4 network in the market, and if you come and try to withdraw money from the ATMs, there is no such thing,” he said, adding that he had gone through the same situation at the pharmacy, having resorted to ATMs that do not have money and ended up not purchasing the medicines.
On the other hand, Moussa Danfa, who owns a sewing establishment, revealed that these problems encountered at the vinti4 chain’s ATMs end up causing delays in his business.
“I always have problems with ATMs, including payment machines at my establishment,” he said, adding that it also creates impasses when purchasing raw materials.
Moussa Danfa regrets that when this is the case, he resorts and waits in queues for banking services, which is why he sometimes loses some customers.
