Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Search and Rescue Center considered on Tuesday that the information about the disappearance of the Stephane artisanal fishing boat and the three occupants who disappeared at sea on the 13th was broadcast with “misinformation and unclear”.
The Search and Rescue Center made this clarification regarding the search and rescue operations of the Stephane boat, and the three occupants missing at sea since the 13th, when they left the Boa Vista island to Sal island.
In the document sent to the editorial offices, the Joint Center for Search and Rescue (JRCC) says it has taken “knowledge, by telephone, through the substitute maritime delegation of the Boa Vista Island, of a possible disappearance of artisanal fishing boat registered on the Santiago Island, named Stephane, which would have left the Boa Vista Island to Sal Island”.
The JRCC made it known that , “at 11:54 was requested to the Maritime Security Operations Center (COSMAR), the dissemination of navigation notices to all vessels in the area, and at 12:04 requested support to the Maritime Police in the Boa Vista Island and the maritime delegate in the Sal Island to carry out patrols in coastal areas in order to locate the boat”.
