Africa-Press – Cape verde. The executive director of the National Institute of Public Health (INSP), Júlio Rodrigues, said on Tuesday, in the City of Praia, that Cabo Verde ranks 11th in the ranking of countries most exposed to risks associated with climate change.

This responsible also pointed out that Cabo Verde has about 150.000 people exposed to food difficulties and he stressed that all these issues imply health.

Júlio Rodrigues made this statement during his presentation of the theme “Climate change – its impacts on health and water sustainability”, within the scope of the “Workshop for a welfare society: Health, environments and cities”, carried out by the INSP as the coordinating entity of the multisectoral committee for the “one health” approach.

The aim is to raise awareness among Cabo Verdean society for the implementation of regulatory and promotional measures to protect the health and well-being of people and the planet in a “one-health” approach.
