According to Rosa, the Executive will shortly take to the Council of Ministers the proposal to amend the Electoral Code, with new solutions, fulfilling what is the institutional command.

“So that we can, in the short term, have an electoral information system, develop and adapt what are the archipelagic conditions of the country and so that we can, in the next elections, not say in 2024, but on our part we are doing everything, first from the point of view of altering the electoral code”, he explained.

Reframe current frame

In order for this modernization to take place, he stressed, it is necessary to reformulate the current framework, starting with the assumption of the country, what is the database of registrations and to put the electoral information system into operation.

“We will not need such registration commissions and with that we are going to think about new solutions, modernizing the electoral process”, said Joana Rosa, stressing that they want to guarantee transparency and trust to political parties and citizens.
