Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cape Verdean boxer Wilson Semedo will represent Cape Verde in the “Tammer Tournament” in Finland. The competition is considered one of the toughest on the European boxing circuit.
The competition, according to the Cape Verdean Olympic Committee (COC), runs until Sunday, through the competition of teams representing 15 countries.
Olympic Solidarity Scholar for the Paris ‘2024 Olympic Games, Wilson Semedo won the International Boxing Spirit WBC tournament in Outurela, Carnaxide, Portugal in October.
Wilson Semedo is together with athlete Jordin Andrade, boxers David Pina, Ivanusa “Nancy” Moreira, fencer Victor Alvares, gymnast Márcia Lopes, judokas Carolina Francês and Djamila Silva, swimmer Jayla Pina and Nicalas Fernandes, taekwondo, Cape Verdean athletes awarded the Olympic Solidarity Scholarship for the Paris ‘2024 Olympic Games.
