
Africa-Press – Cape verde. One of the two Cape Verdean companies present at the Macau 2024 International Environmental Cooperation Forum and Exhibition (2024MIECF), taking place in that Asian country, already has a promissory contract with a Chinese firm for the acquisition of machinery.
The information is provided by Teledifusao Macau (TDM), who spoke with Admilson Rocha, representative of CVORM, one of the companies participating in the event, organized by the Government of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR), and which is co-organized by governments of the provinces and regions that make up the Pan-Pearl River Delta.
Speaking to Teledifusao Macau (TDM), Edmilson Rocha said that the fair came at an essential time for the company and that on the first day several contacts were made, and even a draft contract.
The company, as indicated, has already agreed a promissory contract with another company in Macau for the acquisition of 90% of the equipment it needs for its activity in Cape Verde.
“CVORM will have 90% of its equipment from China because it is where there is cutting-edge machine technology and where the market value is more competitive and today we have Chinese brands with high quality”, the Cape Verdean entrepreneur told TDM.
Edmilson Rocha also added that during the contacts he discovered the potential in Macau to explore business not only with partners from the Asian region, but also with companies and start-ups from neighboring countries on the African continent and the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) in the area. of renewable energies.
According to information from the Cape Verde delegation at Forum Macau, the archipelago’s delegation is also made up of the startup Hidro Energy, represented by Ozamiz Monteiro, who together with Edmilson Rocha, are focused on presenting their innovative products, establishing contact networks and promoting green cooperation, attract partners and investors interested in supporting environmental projects in Cape Verde.
The 2024MIECF takes place at the Cotai Expo Halls, The Venetian Macao, with the theme “Achieving Dual Carbon Targets through Ecological Transformation”.
In its 16th edition, the MIECF is a prominent environmental event on the global stage, organized by the Government of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR), and is co-organized by the governments of the provinces and regions that make up the Pan- Pearl River Delta.
