Africa-Press – Cape verde. Kahbi Yassine left words of thanks to the Coast Guard and the Armed Forces of Cape Verde for the “simple training opportunity at the Naval War College, of the US Navy”.

End-of-course diplomas were awarded to 468 senior and mid-level leadership students, including 103 international students representing 78 countries, including Cape Verde, as well as students who completed courses through the distance education from NWC.

The postgraduate program lasted one year.

NWC students participate in a one-year, graduate-level program that accommodates face-to-face or distance learning status.

Graduates earn Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) credits and a diploma or master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies or Defense and Strategic Studies.

Graduates include U.S. and friendly country officers from the Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, and various US government civilian employees.

“NWC provides excellence in education, research, and outreach, as well as educational experiences and learning opportunities that develop students’ ability to anticipate and strategically prepare for the future, strengthen the foundations of peace, and create a decisive edge in combat.” reads in the statement from the Armed Forces of Cape Verde.

The graduation ceremony was presided over by Diplomat Linda Thomas-Greenfield, US Ambassador to the United Nations.
