Africa-Press – Cape verde. The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (CEA), in partnership with the CNT Network (National Transfer Accounts), will hold a conference next week to discuss population issues and sustainable development, in the context of multiple crises.

This is the third edition of the CNT Conference, an event that will take place in Senegal from the 6th to the 8th of September, also counting on the partnerships of the Demographic Reference Office and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

According to a press release from the Sub-Regional Office for West Africa of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, the main theme of the conference is “Demographic dividend, generational economics and sustainable development in Africa: Taking stock 5 years after the adoption of the African Union roadmap on the demographic dividend”.

The main objective of the event is to create a framework to address population and sustainable development issues in Africa in the context of multiple crises.
