Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cape Verdean Olympic Committee (COC) has opened, until October 31st, applications for the National Scholarship Competition for higher education students studying sports or professional and university students in the academic year 2023-2024.
COC opens applications for Scholarships for national athletes
The scholarship, according to the COC, is intended to guarantee the continuity of study for higher education students studying sports, as well as for students studying Professional and University Education in any other area, involved in high-performance sports and /or to young talents identified by the respective federations and school management.
Applications for the scholarship cover scholarships for professional courses and degree scholarships, and applicants will be accepted upon proposal from physical education coordinators and in consultation with the federations of the modalities in question, as promising young people.
Recipients of the COC scholarship are all individuals involved in high-performance sports or identified by their respective federations as promising young people, who attend higher education or professional courses.
Candidates also have Cape Verdean nationality and 12th grade qualifications, professional/vocational training or equivalent (for candidates for a higher education scholarship), or having been admitted to a professional training or higher education institution.
The application process must be submitted to the corresponding Sports Federations, by October 31, 2023, without fail.
