Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Court of the District of São Vicente has applied the personal coercive measure of periodic presentation to the police authorities to a 28-year-old Cape Verdean citizen, resident in Mindelo, suspected of committing fraud crimes.
According to the Judicial Police today, the arrest took place this Wednesday, the 12th, during an investigation carried out by the Mindelo Criminal Investigation Department (DICM), through the Economic and Financial Crime Investigation Brigade (BICEF).
The operation was triggered following the execution of an arrest warrant not in flagrante delicto, issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the District of São Vicente, within the scope of an investigation initiated in 2023.
According to the Judicial Police, the suspect was identified as the perpetrator of eight crimes of fraud and one crime of qualified fraud, obtaining illicit financial advantage and causing harm to the victims.
