Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cabo Verde reported in the last 24 hours two new positive cases of COVID-19 identified among the 176 samples analyzed and without any deaths.
According to the epidemiological bulletin, the two cases were registered in Praia City (one) and São Filipe, Fogo (one).
The data show that eleven more people were considered recovered, namely in Praia (four), Ribeira Grande Santo Antão (three) and São Vicente (four). The country now accounts for 44 active cases, 55.349 recovered, 400 deaths, 40 deaths from other causes and nine transferred, totaling 55.842 positive cases accumulated.
In order to mitigate the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in Cabo Verde, the Ministry of Health calls on people to join the vaccination campaign that is taking place throughout the country, so that everyone can be more protected “as soon as possible”. The authorities continue to call on people to comply with social distancing, to wear masks and to practice hand hygiene and other recommendations to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
