Africa-Press – Cape verde. The chairman of the board of directors of CV Interilhas, Jorge Maurício, guarantees that all passengers with trips scheduled for the month of August, to the islands of Sal and Boa Vista, will travel normally and without restrictions.

The Praia d’Aguada and Liberdadi ships start extra voyages, starting today, to normalize the situation of stranded passengers.

Jorge Maurício guarantees that CV Interilhas is making “every effort” in the search for “efficient and agile” solutions that allow the flow of delayed passengers in Sal and Boa Vista until the end of July.

In this sense, he states that all passengers with trips scheduled for the month of August will travel normally.

Alternate ship attempt

The ship Liberdadi will ensure two extra trips per week on the route Sal – São Vicente, at night, while the ship Praia d’Aguada will also ensure an extra trip on the route Santiago-Sal-Boa Vista-Sal.

The same source informed that the company looked for alternatives with the charter of a temporary ship in the international market, to minimize the situation of the delays and cancellations of trips registered in the last weeks.

However, he continued, he noted the unavailability of ships with the intended and necessary characteristics for the operation, such as “Dona Tututa” or “Chiquinho BL”, capable of docking at all national ports and with the possibility of maintenance at Cabnave.

helpline

Finally, Jorge Maurício informed that CV Interilhas reinforced the monitoring and information to the passenger, by telephone and online, and provided a new helpline, which works from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, through the number 350 03 32 .

This is a specific line to meet the needs and reinforce communication with passengers who are currently on a waiting list for travel relocation.
