Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cape Verdean national cycling team, made up of six starters and one substitute, will make its debut on Thursday, 03, at the World Cycling Championships, to be held until 06 August in Glasgow.
Under the technical guidance of the British Dave Savage, the Cape Verdean team will make its debut at the World Championship with cyclists Eliezer Soares, from the Sal sports region, Renato Gabriel Soares, from the Netherlands, and Wiliam Jorge Correia Gomes from the USA, in the Elite category.
Meanwhile, Nélio Cruz, from São Vicente, Leonardo Cosme Costa, from São Nicolau, Ruben Júnior Lopes, from Santo Antão Norte, and Lucas Bronze (alternate), representing Santo Antão Sul, Porto Novo, are enrolled exclusively in the sub category -23.
The Cape Verdean delegation has been in Glasgow for about 10 days, having already taken part in the Glasgow Training Camp, with a view to better preparing for this event, which features the competition of the best cyclists in the world today.
