Africa-Press – Cape verde. The plenary sessions will be condensed and will take place on the 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th of May.

As announced today by the National Assembly, the ordinary sessions for the month of May will be condensed due to the funeral ceremonies for the death of parliamentarian Edson Alves, elected by the Maio Island constituency.

On the first day, May 21st, the session will begin with a debate with the Minister of Tourism and Transport, Carlos Santos, proposed by PAICV. The agenda also includes the continuation of the discussion of the Proposed Law that approves the Municipalities Statute and the discussion of the Proposed Law that approves the Property Tax Code.

On the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of May, during the second ordinary session, there will be a debate with Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva on “Economic Growth and Employment”.

Law proposals will also be discussed, including the first amendment to the Organic Law of the Superior Council of the Judiciary and the second amendment to the Organic Law of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in addition to the Proposed Law that approves the Property Transfer Tax Code.
