Africa-Press – Cape verde. The “Dona di Nha Vida” project will provide mentoring and help in starting up their own businesses to people in situations of Gender Based Violence.

The Cape Verdean Institute for Gender Equality and Equity (ICIEG) explained that this project aims to train individuals, mainly women, to generate income and employment, allowing them to overcome the condition of victims of violence and assume an active role as protagonists of their own success stories.

“Dona di Nha Vida” will provide courses and practical workshops, lectures and conversation circles, addressing topics related to management and financial education, in order to train participants in generating income, employment and formalizing individual, collective and micro-enterprises. social.

Access to decent employment

In addition to the presentation of the aforementioned project, ICIEG advances that a memorandum of understanding is expected to be signed between the institution and Mentors Internacional, with the aim of promoting equal opportunities in access to decent employment.

Within this framework, both institutions undertake to promote the joint implementation of mentoring, training and capacity building actions in the strategic areas of gender, social development, entrepreneurship and financial education.
