Africa-Press – Cape verde. Real Madrid basketball player Edy Tavares received the MVP award – “Most Valuable Player” for the month of January from the Endesa League, the Spanish basketball championship.
Before the start of Real Madrid’s last game against Lenovo Tenerife, counting for the Endesa league, Cape Verdean Edy Tavares was awarded the January MVP award.
The award recognizes the best player in the league during the past month.

Edy doesn’t seem to get tired of accumulating individual and collective trophies.
The Maense “giant” is now in his sixth season with Real Madrid, with whom he has won 10 titles (1 European Cup, 3 Leagues, 1 King’s Cup and 5 Super Cups) in addition to numerous individual awards.
In the 2021-22 season Edy was considered the best defender in Liga Endesa, an award he received for the second consecutive time.
In June 2022, Edy was considered the MVP of the Liga Endesa Final Playoff that his team, Real Madrid, won.
500 tackles
In October 2022, the Cape Verdean giant reached the incredible mark of 500 tackles in the Endesa League, recording his name in the history of the league, being the fifth player to achieve such a feat in the history of the Endesa League.
