Eight out of ten NOSiAkademia interns were able to integrate into the job market

Africa-Press – Cape verde. Around 80% of the interns who went through the NOSiAkademia professional internship program were able to integrate into the job market, according to information provided by NOSi’s executive administrator, on the day the entity welcomes another 45 interns.

Mayra Silva added that the company has not yet achieved its objective of seeing all those who completed an internship at the company NOSi employed, but added that the company is satisfied with the employability rate among young interns.

“We have an employment rate of 80 percent (%) and we are fighting hard to reach 90% by the end of this year. In fact, these 80% are young people who are in the job market and young people who created their own companies and who today work on projects with NOSi,” he said.

Since its implementation in 2018, the NOSiAkademia professional internship program has received more than 2,500 applications and benefited more than 467 young people.

This Tuesday, NOSi opened its doors to welcome 45 young graduates for the 15th edition of the professional internship, including two interns from Guinea-Bissau, whose arrival in Cape Verde was sponsored by that country’s National Social Security Institute.

For the executive administrator, this fact makes this edition special, as it marks the beginning of achieving one of the objectives, which is to be closer to communities and international entities.

This edition is also marked by the presentation of NOSiAkademia’s new institutional brand, considered more modern and more suitable for the training program, and also a new portal.

According to Mayra Silva, from today onwards any intern can apply, unlike what happened previously, where applications could only be made when the editions opened.

“Now, any intern, regardless of whether the editions are open or not, can make their applications. And we also have the possibility for interns to follow the processes, the stages of the application phases, because we felt during that time that they were lost, they didn’t know what the application phase was, whether they passed, if not they passed, whether they were selected”, he explained. .

Now, with the new portal, interns will be able to monitor their process until they are selected or not.

For companies, the big news is that, through the portal, they will be able to see the range of interns who have passed through the academy and their profiles in the hiring processes.

“This is a great gain because we received from several national and international entities, requesting to share the lists of interns who passed our program and now it is more transparent and any international entity, for example, can get the interns who are available on the market”, he explained.

Another feature highlighted by the NOSi administrator is that any private company that wants to be part of or take projects that they are unable to develop in their companies to NOSi can now apply online for their allocation.
