Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Public Mobility and Parking Company (EMEP, SA) has announced the implementation of paid parking in several areas of the Palmarejo neighbourhood in Praia.
According to the company’s statement, the areas covered include Avenida Palmarejo, Avenida Santiago, Avenida S. Vicente, Avenida Santo Antão, the Praça Center area and Avenida Cidadela.
EMEP was created in 2012 and seeks to manage parking and improve mobility and accessibility in Praia.
The company aims to promote the management of urban mobility and public parking, through the administration, operation, maintenance, construction, conservation and inspection of parks and parking areas and associated infrastructures or services, which are part of the global system of accessibility and urban mobility, defined by the City Council.
