Africa-Press – Cape verde. A Presidential Decree appointed, on a proposal from the Government, Eurico Monteiro to perform the duties of extraordinary ambassador plenipotentiary of Cabo Verde in the Sovereign Order of Malta, with residence in Lisbon.
According to the Official Bulletin, Eurico Monteiro begins to perform consular functions in the Sovereign Order of Malta thus replacing the diplomat Jorge Gonçalves.
In addition to having headed the diplomatic mission of the Sovereign Order of Malta, Jorge Gonçalves was also the country’s representative to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
Eurico Monteiro is also Cape Verde’s ambassador to Portugal, having taken office in 2016.
