Athlete Victor Alvares De Oliveira, an Olympic Solidarity scholarship holder for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, passed for the first time, to the second phase in a tournament of “global importance and dimension”, having in the first phase fought against a German, a Spaniard, a Indian, a Turkish, a Canadian and an Egyptian, with the result 3 wins and 3 losses.
According to the Committee, to reach the second final stage, he still played against a Malian and a Pole.
However, the Cape Verdean athlete would, however, remain in the second phase of the competition, losing against the two-time world and Olympic champion, the Frenchman Enzo Lefort. The athlete’s next challenge will be the African championship in the modality, in Egypt.
