Africa-Press – Cape verde. The transfer of Cape Verdean Jovane Cabral to the Spanish league fell through. FIFA rejected Valladolid’s request to validate the transfer of young striker Jovane Cabral.
The Cape Verdean international, who was going to be loaned by Sporting until the end of the season to Vallodolid, with a purchase option for five million euros, is thus at Sporting, according to the website A Bola.
It should be recalled that, although the sports director of Valladolid, Fran Sánchez, had defended that the operation was “on time and in form, complying with schedules and documentation”, he also acknowledged that there were “some incidents”, namely a computer anomaly, as explained at the time quoted by the same online.
Jovane Cabral had returned to Sporting this season, after being loaned to Lazio. He only participated in nine games, only one of them starting, against Marítimo, for the League Cup.
At the age of 24, the Cape Verdean international will remain at Sporting and is on the list for the Europa League.
