Africa-Press – Cape verde. The “Agro-industry and local development” subject is part of the agenda of the eighth edition of the Coffee Festival, which takes place on the 22nd and 23rd, in the city of Igreja (Mosteiros).
The Coffee Festival was established in 2014 as a way to value, promote and give an opportunity to reflect on the Fogo coffee row and its internationalization, but also to honor all those who have contributed to the affirmation of coffee growing in the upper areas of the municipality of Mosteiros, according to a press release from the City Hall of Mosteiros.
The problem of “Agro-industry and local development” will be discussed in a “dialogue table” to be attended by Terras de Sicó Association, from the municipality Portuguese of Ansião, twined with Mosteiros, and whose cooperation partnership covers the agriculture, livestock and tourism sectors.
In addition to holding the dialogue table, the Festival’s program also highlights the holding of the fourth edition of the Coffee Race, which this year has a special edition for children, the traditional “afternoon coffee”, the holding of book fairs and crafts, services and gastronomy, various competition on the theme of coffee and a musical evening with artists from the island.
