Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Manager of the Casa das Bandeiras, Henrique Pires, defended on Thursday that this year’s party must be “great” to dignify the city of São Filipe, the island of Fogo and Cabo Verde.
“Casa das Bandeiras is rigorously preparing all activities so that the party is great as it is being conceived by the City Hall of São Filipe, as responsible for party”, Henrique Pires advocated, recalling that this year’s festivities are special for coinciding with the centenary of the elevation of São Filipe to the category of city.
So, he explained, we are working to have “a big party” that is worthy for São Filipe and all those who participate can feel proud of it.
“It’s a big time for the Island of Fogo when its economy moves. We need this to improve the situation, which is serious, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and war”, said Henrique Pires, noting that there is already some movement, both from emigrants and foreigners.
