Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Fogo and Brava Employment and Vocational Training Center (CEFP) has strengthened its technical and educational capacity with the acquisition of materials and equipment for a course on the assembly and maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
CEFP director Carlos Lopes said the course is being held at its facilities in São Filipe and that the acquisition of the new materials and equipment was financed by the Employment and Training Promotion Fund, amounting to 300,000 escudos.
The aim is to ensure training that is “practical, modern, and aligned with the demands” of the job market on both islands.
The materials purchased include thermometers, multimeters, pressure gauges, welding torches, angle grinders, wrench sets, various types of pliers, flange tools, paints, brushes, safety glasses, and gloves, among other essential tools for the installation and maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
The CEFP director said this investment reflects the IEFP’s commitment to quality vocational training.
According to him, the acquisition of materials and equipment will reinforce the need for careful management of public assets and, to this end, an internal team was created with responsibility for the strategic conservation of the acquired materials.
